Strips is a camera app. We built it to collect as little as humanly possible, because the best privacy policy is not having your data in the first place.
The photos on your roll are stored on your device. Strips has no account and no cloud sync — your roll is yours. When you save a shot, it goes to your own Photos library.
Strips recreates each camera's film look using a hosted image model. When you take a photo, it is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and our image-processing provider (Meta's Muse Image API) to generate that look, and the styled photo is returned to your device. We do not store your photos on our servers. The provider processes the image only to create the look, under its own terms. If processing isn't available, the look is applied on your device instead.
Strips has no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or any other personal information.
Strips Pro is an optional subscription. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details. To manage entitlements and restore purchases, we use RevenueCat, our subscription provider. RevenueCat associates your purchase status with a random, anonymous identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or identity. We use it solely to unlock Pro features and to let you restore purchases. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
Strips does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not include third-party advertising trackers.
Strips is rated 4+ and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Because your roll lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. Photos you already saved stay in your Photos library unless you delete them yourself.
If we ever change how Strips handles data, we'll update this page and the date above.
